Project Rock’s latest collection, a frequent collaboration between Under Armor and Dwayne JohnsonAnd he’s arrived, and that’s good news for gym goers everywhere. This new drop, called the Work Starts Here collection, features a full lineup of athletic apparel—including a new version of Johnson’s signature training shoe, the PR4—and even some workout-friendly tech gear, too.
Here’s a closer look at the contents of the collection.
1. Project Rock 4 تدريب Training Shoe
The latest Project Rock training shoe, the PR4 ($150) has received some major upgrades over the PR3 to make it more capable in the gym. Now comes with a TPU midfoot strap designed to keep your feet locked into the shoe during aggressive lateral movements, and a TPU heel counter provides a snug grip on your heel for a comfortable, supportive fit. Like the latest version, it rides on a Hovr foam midsole (a high-spec Under Armor cushioning material) for a racy, responsive feel, and the TriBase’s wide, flat shape increases ground contact for a secure grip during lifts.
2. Project Rock Over-Ear Headphones
This drop includes a pair of over-ear headphones ($299), which are designed to keep the music flowing during sweaty workout sessions. While some may dismiss the over-ear design, these headphones come with comfortable ear cushions that you can remove and wash (an important feature, since you’ll definitely be sweating on them), and they offer active noise cancellation as well — perfect for tuning into any playlist. Weird they set up at the local gym.
3. Rock Slides Project
These are the same chipsets ($65) that were released earlier this year, but are now available in glossy red and black. They’re made with a generous layer of Charged cushioning for a plush feel and a Michelin WildGripper outsole for excellent traction in all conditions. (Author’s note: I own a pair, and wear them every day.)
4. Men’s Rock Clothing Project
Finally, the drop includes a wide selection of sportswear, including tops (sleeveless, of course), a pair of shorts, and more (prices vary). The shirts are made with graphics that show when you start to sweat, and all the pieces are made with performance fabrics, including a stretchy knit for freedom of movement and a “waffle texture” designed to keep you warm without feeling heavy. .
