Breathe clearly with this handcrafted essential oil inhaler for the common cold
Eucalyptus essential oil is essential during cold and flu season.
Just take a whiff from an open bottle, and you’ll see why – the cool, refreshing scent of eucalyptus piercing the nose can clean your nose and sinuses almost like magic!
It’s the main ingredient in today’s recipe: Cold Care Essential Oil Spray.
Besides eucalyptus oil, this inhaler combines three other essential oils that can:

You’ll love these effects when you feel a sinus stuffing or sinus inhalation, and when your body is battling an illness, such as a cold.
Let’s start with the recipe, and then talk about why oils are so strong.
The eucalyptus inhaler is easy to breathe
- 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus globulus)
- 4 drops of sweet orange oil (Citrus sinensis)
- 3 drops of fir essential oil (Apis balsamic)
- 3 drops of wild carrot essential oil (Dojos Caruta)
Camphor essential oil
Contains camphor 1,8-cineole, One of the widely studied oxide components responsible for so much of the oil’s ability to break up the blockage, so you can breathe through the sides of your nose again!
1,8-cineole is also anti-inflammatory and may help reduce the presence of germs (including viruses).
Eucalyptus is so full of this small molecule, that 1,8-cineole is sometimes called “eucalyptol.”

Sweet orange oil
The eucalyptus has a very wonderful and wonderful presence. In a cold essential oil inhaler, it is inserted directly into the sensitive organs of the nose and sinuses. To make the long story short, too much eucalyptus can be confusing!
A little sweet orange in this inhaler softens it, so it looks gentler.
Sweet Orange brings all the soothing anti-inflammatory power D- Limonene. It calms and relaxes the body, while also helping the body fight infections by supporting white blood cells.
Fir Balsam Essential Oil
One of the main ingredients in fir balm is δ-3- KarenImpressive mucus repellent!
δ-3-carene and 1,8-cineole are different, but they work well together to help clear congestion. (Think of it like Alto and Soprano work together to sing the same song.)
Fir balsam has a familiar evergreen scent.
Wild carrot essential oil
It is filled with esters Giranyl acetateWild carrot oil helps calm infections in the nose and sinuses.
It has a refreshing woody earthy scent. Like Sweet Orange, Wild Carrot helps soften the scent of this essential oil spray for the common cold.
Make sure you are using wild carrot essential oil, not carrot seed essential oil or carrot seed oil. Carrot seeds too Dojos Caruta-So it is understandable if you have the error! Just make sure your essential oil is enriched with geranium acetate, and you’ll be good to go.
