Health Mummy Global Ambassador Fiona Falkner has had a frantic few weeks while also committing to… 28 day weight loss challenge And use the exercises from the Healthy Mummy app every day for two weeks!
The beautiful TV personality has been accompanying her fiancé Hayley Willis across Australia to work with their five month old son Hunter.
However, this has included a two-week quarantine of hotels in Queensland and they are currently closed in Melbourne.
But kudos to Fiona, you stuck with it and stuck with it. What an inspiration! Here’s how she did it in her own words…
Fiona talks about how she stuck to The Healthy Mummy in hotel quarantine and shutdown…
“It’s not easy trying to find the motivation to lead a healthy lifestyle while living in a hotel room with a toddler and in the middle of lockdown!
But I’m not alone. Millions of mums in Australia are now trying to get around all these restrictions while also logging into Zoom meetings for work, homeschooling their kids, trying to keep track of their diet and finding the right time to exercise. It’s not an easy time for many!
But fortunately, Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge It helped clear up some space for my mind – now that I don’t have to worry about what I’m cooking or what exercises I can do from my hotel room.
Fiona reveals that she and Hailey had to postpone their wedding again
When you sign up for healthy mummy appHayley and I had rescheduled our October wedding—and wanted some help with losing the baby weight and matching my wedding dress. But unfortunately, we had to postpone our big day again until next year.
So instead of losing focus, I just have to refocus.
I’m not just doing this to lose weight for my wedding day. I do this so that I can live the best possible life for my family and also to feel fulfilled within myself.
This is easier said than done though. While we were in hotel quarantine in Queensland (we were there for Hayley’s work) I had to constantly remind myself that if I worked, I would feel good afterwards.
It’s easy to slip into the “sun didn’t rise, I’ll calm my nerves” mentality. There were three days when I didn’t do any exercise healthy mummy app And my mental health really suffered.
The thing I love about healthy mummy workouts is that you don’t need a gym, you don’t need to leave the room! Which was helpful because we weren’t able to!
In fact, my favorite workouts were the no-equipment exercises, and they were 15 minutes at a time. The more I got on it, I found that I needed less time to recover between each exercise. It really made me push myself.
Exercises Fiona loves on Healthy Mummy
I also liked the Stronger 28 Day Advance, which was 30 minutes, and the Intense HIIT with Wendy, which was 10 minutes each and I was going to do 3 rounds of it.
These exercises were great while Hunter was napping or while Hayley was off work, where we can tag the team.
But let’s face it, as a mom, sometimes the last thing you want to do if your baby falls asleep is exercise! There are a million other things you have to do, like cleaning and sterilizing bottles and putting clothes in clothes. So, on days like these, I’ve instead done baby-wearing exercises.
I loved these exercises, as I can use the Hunter as a weight or interact with him a bit more on the ground.
How Fiona keeps her motivated
One of the biggest things people reached out to me for was the question, “How do you stay motivated?”
My answer is: wear your gym clothes.
If you wear your active clothing, that’s half the battle. You are ready to go. So even if it’s just sitting in the kitchen sink or stabbing while dishes are put away, you feel like you want to exercise. If you’re wearing a dress or leggings and a T-shirt, you may end up telling yourself, “I’m going to work out later,” and you never will.
So, my main tip for staying motivated is to get into your gym clothes and run, and then do what you can throughout the day.
When it comes to diet, I must admit it hasn’t been easy to maintain in hotel quarantine in Queensland. But while we live in a hotel in Melbourne for Hayley’s business, I have been able to make meals, as we have a kitchen area.
It’s not like being at home where you have a whole stock of spices, but I do my best to prepare meals from Health mummy application.
Fiona’s favorite recipes
The first thing I have in the morning is Deluxe double chocolate smoothie – I just finished the bathtub. I don’t have a blender here, so I put the powder in a shaker and add the macadamia milk and shake it really well.
what i love Healthy mummy juices Can I make this one with Hunter on my hip!
Nothing prepares you for how hard it is to find time to eat when you have kids! You’re on your way from the moment they open their eyes and sometimes you can reach mid-morning and eat nothing. Then the problem arises that you are very hungry and end up overeating!
Healthy Mummy smoothies are nutritious, filling, and easy to prepare – and I loved them so much. She is very mother-friendly!
While staying in a hotel, I found myself making a lot of salads Health mummy application. I made salmon with chili, lime, cilantro, cajun chicken, grilled vegetables, sesame salmon with fried vegetables, Mexican chicken, corn cozcous salad, Thai style chicken noodles, and chicken satay salad..
I’m hoping we’re going home to Sydney next weekend and I want to make a pile of healthy sweets and snacks right from the app, so whatever temptation I have can be swapped out for these sweet treats instead.
Fiona’s new goals
I will also participate the next day 12 week challenge And I pledge to commit to walking at least 30 minutes every day with Hunter. A little fresh air would help me to get outside every day, and if I didn’t get a chance to do the exercise, I would at least do my steps.
My long-term goal before our wedding next year is to get really fit and healthy. I no longer breastfeed so my body is back to me again, and I want to focus on getting back into shape.
I haven’t been able to weigh myself lately, but I’ve noticed that my clothes fit better than before and I feel lighter too, so it will be interesting to see how much I’ve come down.
My skin feels better, I have more energy, my eyes look brighter and I drink a lot of water because I check it out on the Healthy Mummy app. It’s so easy to forget and then think you’re hungry, when in reality you’re just thirsty.
So, my verdict on the healthy mummy?
It is very convenient to follow. I don’t need any additional equipment or need to prepare separate meals. I can be at home – or anywhere! I don’t really need anything other than the app, as you don’t need to pay for a membership or expensive gym equipment.
I love that I can get to everything so quickly and that there are so many options! For both exercises and recipes.
Plus, healthy mummy She understands the challenges of being a mother. It has everything I need to get fit and keep me motivated while also doing everything else as a busy mom.
I’m excited to achieve my future goals and to be back in “me” again.
