About director Sue Williams
Sue Williams has produced and directed five critically acclaimed feature-length documentaries about China for broadcast on national PBS, including Front Line. Contemporary China features prominently in its latest films, death by design. Sue also directed two highly-acclaimed biographies of Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary Pickford for the PBS series, The American Experience. Her films have been broadcast in more than 25 countries and have been featured in festivals around the world. They have won many awards, including the 2016 Boston Globe Filmmakers Fund Award.
