by Daisy Luther

The port of Ningbo-Zhoushan in China has closed a major terminal due to a worker testing positive for Covid-19. In an interview with Dawn Tiura, CEO of Sourcing Industry Group, He told CNBC That this would have “serious” consequences for global supply chain.

TL; Dr..Too long did not readTranscript of this article: Things are about to get worse. Much worse.

Now for an extended version.

We are already facing a shortage that no official wants to admit.

Most readers have already seen the writing on the wall, as stores space shelves and racks in an effort to hide a shortage of merchandise. If you’ve tried to order furniture or appliances recently, you may have found that it takes months – if you ever receive it – to fulfill your order. By anecdotal, people have talked about placing orders from Amazon only to unceremoniously cancel them. why? Because the product is out of stock and they don’t know when it will be.

Don’t forget the struggling farmers in America who are facing Droughts, wildfires and diseases, as well as foreign entities buying our farmland and food processing plants.

Now add the closing of this outlet to an already incredibly shaky supply chain. If all goes as usual, we won’t be directly affected by this for a few weeks.

But…

If there was a closure, there would be no way to hide the imperfection.

If there is another closing announcement – and I think there will be Unprepared people will go down to the shops like a horde of locusts, buying everything they can. Does this sound familiar? It must be because it roughly mirrors what happened a year ago last spring when we went to 2 weeks insurance and the Shelves swept bare.

It is interesting that at the same time that this happened, The prepared and the “hoarders” face the blame for the imperfection The government also pleaded with people to just get enough for a week, so there was plenty for everyone.

However, the Port of Los Angeles was a ghost town. why? Because we did not receive shipments from China.

Deja vu, indeed.

We still have to recover from the first deficiency. A second wave of shortages will drive prices up, and since this isn’t our first rodeo, it’s causing mass panic.

You need to get your supplies now.

I don’t know how to make it more clear. Many of us have already discussed the bare points and the high prices of some items. If you intend to stock up, you need to do so now. Immediately. You may not get another chance.

  • Get some buckets before they run out: Right now, Legacy Food still has stuff in stock without a waiting list. If you can afford it, I highly suggest you get some supplies from them, like this Breakfast, lunch and dinner bucket. I assure you that all those food bucket places will soon run out, and you may find yourself waiting for months.
  • Your local grocery store hit the bargain: This could be an outlet, Big Lots, Dollar Store, Aldi’s, Lidl, Food Lion – whatever the cheapest place out there, head there. Get as many canned goods, pasta, rice, dried beans, baking supplies (don’t forget yeast), and other shelf-stable items as possible.
  • Get spare computer supplies: Everyone started working from home last year, and kids started learning remotely. There was an influx of supplies. You can’t get a webcam for love or money. It was almost impossible to find affordable new computers. Try to be proactive and think about microphones, webcams, surcharges, wires, and computers. If you need something, you should get it now because most of these ingredients come from China.
  • Think about the other things you use: Batteries, pet food, medicine, health and beauty tools, toiletries, bleaching wipes, hand sanitizer – you get the idea. Do your best to stockpile as much as possible. And for heaven’s sake, get toilet paper.

This is similar to the instant reboot of 2020 but is sprayed with jet fuel.

If this sounds familiar, it is because it is. It is almost identical to what happened before. Now piling on top of that over a year of stress and anxiety, Loss, financial problems, And Politically driven and media-driven divisionss. We are encouraged to hate and fear each other, blame each other, and respond to extremism. It’s like spraying jet fuel on fire.

Americans have had enough, regardless of their political affiliations. Almost everyone feels bad about someone. But As Silko warned usNow is not the time to focus on that. We’re still in the early stages of our SHTF, although it seems like it’s gone on forever.

You need to focus now on what you can do. Not about who is right and who is wrong, or about who is right or not. Not on the school system, national religion, or politics that you love or hate. You cannot change any of these things.

But you can change your personal circumstances. You can focus on Survival BasicsAnd Learn skills, And storage While you can still. If money is tight, you should focus on skills – particularly the acquisition and production of food. You can do it, but you have to do it now.

What is your opinion?

Does this position sound familiar to you? Do you feel that another phase of our slow crisis is looming? Do you add anything to your supplies? Share your thoughts in the comments.
