Chicago police say ‘hell no’ to mayor regarding mandatory coronavirus shots

Written by Matthew Miller Washington Examiner

Excerpts:

A leading Chicago police union has opposed an imminent mandate from Mayor Lori Lightfoot that would require all city officers to have a COVID-19 vaccine.

John Catanzara, president of the Chicago fraternal organization, said his group is “100% against mandatory vaccinations for our members,” according to a statement provided to Fox 32.

This vaccine has no studies of long-term side effects or consequences. Nothing,” Catanzara told the Chicago Sun-Times. “Assigning anyone to get this vaccine, without that data as a baseline, among other things, is ‘hell, no’ for us.”

He also insisted that all the city’s police unions oppose such a mandate.

“It’s not just our comrades. They are sergeants, lieutenants and captains. This is a united front. All four guilds. John Catanzara’s big mouth is no longer, as if they wish to rotate it all the time,” he told the enforcer.
